Qibin Zhao (RIKEN AIP, Japan)
Bio: Qibin Zhao received a Ph.D. degree in computer science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China in 2009. He is currently a team leader at RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project (AIP). His research interests include machine learning, tensor factorization, and tensor networks. He has (co-)authored more than 200 publications and two monographs of tensor networks for dimensionality reduction and large-scale optimization (2016, 2017). He serves as Area Chair for NeurIPS, ICML, AISTATS, AAAI, IJCAI, ACML. He (co)-organized workshops related to tensor networks at NeurIPS 2020, 2021 and IJCAI 2020. He also co-organized the conference Quantum Techniques in Machine Learning (QTML 2021).
Guoxu Zhou (Guangdong University of Technology, China)
Bio: Guoxu Zhou received the Ph.D. degree in intelligent signal and information processing from South China University of Technology in 2010. He is currently a Full Professor with the School of Automation, Guangdong University of Technology, and serving as the Dean of the school. He worked as a Research Scientist with the Brain Science Institute, Japan. He has authored over 80 peer-reviewed papers that have been published in prestigious journals, such as the Proceedings of the IEEE, IEEE Signal Processing Magazine, IEEE TSP/TNNLS/TCYB/TIP. He serves as the AE of IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems and IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems. His current research interests include tensor analysis, intelligent information processing, and artificial intelligence.
Cesar F. Caiafa (CONICET - University of Buenos Aires, Argentina)
Bio: Ph.D. degree (2007) in engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Research Scientist (2008 – 2010) and Visiting Scientist (2011 – 2018) at Lab. for Advanced Brain Signal Processing, BSI-RIKEN, Wako, Japan. Research Scientist (2016 – 2018) at the Psychology and Brain Sciences Department, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, USA. He currently holds a permanent position as Independent Researcher with the Argentinean Radioastronomy Institute (IAR) - CONICET and Adjunct Professor with the Faculty of Engineering, University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Visiting Scientist (2018 - 2021) and JSPS Invited Research Fellow (2022) at the Tensor Learning Team, at the RIKEN AIP, Tokyo, Japan. His main research interests are the tensor factorizations, sparse representations, and their applications in astronomy and neuroscience. He co-organized the NeurIPS 2020 First Workshop on Quantum Tensor Networks in Machine Learning, the IJCAI 2020 Workshop on Tensor Networks Representations in Machine Learning, served as PC member in IEEE International Workshop on Machine Learning for Signal Processing 2013 and 2015 editions, and BIOSIGNALS 2012; and as TC member in LVA/ICA 2012 and ICONIP 2009. He serves as a reviewer at NeurIPS, ICML, AAAI, ICLR, ACML, IJCAI, AISTATS.
Tatsuya Yokota (Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan)
Bio: Tatsuya Yokota received the Ph.D. degree in engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan, in 2014. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Computer Science, Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan, and a Visiting Research Scientist with the Tensor Learning Team in RIKEN AIP. He has published papers in leading conferences: ICASSP, CVPR, ICCV and AAAI. His research interests include matrix/tensor factorizations and signal/image processing. He organized special sessions in APSIPA 2017 and APSIPA 2018, and tutorials in APSIPA 2020 and APSIPA 2021. He has served as a PC member for main conferences in CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICASSP, and AISTATS.
Yannan Chen (South China Normal University, China)
Bio: Yannan Chen received the Ph.D. degrees from Nanjing Normal University, China, in 2013. He is currently an associate professor with the School of Mathematical Sciences, South China Normal University, China. His research interests include tensor decomposition, multilinear algebra, nonlinear optimization, and applications. He co-authored a monograph Tensor Eigen values and Their Applications published by Springer in 2018 and won the second prize of Guangdong Natural Science Award in 2021.
Yuning Qiu (RIKEN AIP, Japan)
Bio: Yuning Qiu obtained a Ph.D. degree from Guangdong University of Technology, Guangzhou, China in 2021, where he was a Postdoctoral researcher in 2021 to 2023. He was a student intern at the RIKEN Brain Science Institute, Saitama, Japan, from October 2016 to December 2016. He is currently a Special Postdoctoral Researcher (SPDR) at the Tensor Learning Team, RIKEN AIP, Tokyo, Japan. His main research interests are the tensor factorizations, tensor recovery and adversarial learning. He served as a reviewer at NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, and AISTATS.
Andong Wang (RIKEN AIP, Japan)
Bio: Andong Wang obtained a Ph.D. degree (2019) from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Nanjing, China. He was a Postdoctoral researcher (2019 – 2022) at the School of Automation, Guangdong University of Technology, Guangzhou, China. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Tensor Learning Team, RIKEN AIP, Tokyo, Japan. He was an intern at the Tensor Learning Unit, RIKEN AIP (2019). His main research interests are the tensor factorizations/networks, trustworthy machine learning, and their applications in computer vision, robotics, and quantum machine learning. He served as PC member of the First and Second Workshops on Quantum Tensor Networks in Machine Learning, and the IJCAI 2020 Workshop on Tensor Networks Representations in Machine Learning. He serves as a reviewer at NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, IJCAI, AISTATS, CVPR, and ACML.
